Profiles...and Movie Reviews = I

I read the “Cookie Master” and at first I said to my elf “Cookie Monster”, but realized I read it wrong. I enjoyed it a lot. I thought that having a job as writing fortunes would be cool. I had never really thought that someone actually had a specific job of doing just that every day. Of course I knew someone had to write them, but I had never really thought about it. The man named Donald Lau seemed like he really knew what he was doing and actually wrote books about the topic. I honestly can’t imagine thinking of all the fortunes that are out there. Personally I would run out of ideas quick, so I have to tip my hat to the man for the patience of his job. I felt that this was a really good profile that described him without words but through his actions.
I read the Johnny Depp profile and I felt it was ok. I enjoyed all of the Pirates of the Caribbean movies and felt he did a great job with them and I think he is a good actor, but I felt the profile spent way too much time and detail in the movies rather than on Johnny Depp himself. There were times were it seemed that I was reading a movie review that had little to do with him, but more with the movie and his success with them. I just didn’t feel that the profile captured the audience and really taught the reader something about Johnny Depp other than what could have been read in a gossip magazine.
